§09 / What "done" means

When we leave, the job is actually done.

"Done" doesn't mean "the leak's stopped and we're out the door." It means six specific things happen on every job, every visit. Here's what to expect before we hand back the keys.

The job is verified, not just finished.

Pressure-tested, flow-tested, leak-checked, whichever applies. We don't pack up until we've proven the fix works under load, not just that the symptom went away.

The site is cleaner than we found it.

Mat at the door, drop sheets where we work, vacuum and wipe-down before we leave. Off-cuts and old fittings disposed of properly. Your house should look like we were never there.

We walk you through what we did.

Before we leave, we show you the work, explain what changed, and answer questions. You shouldn't have to guess what just happened in your home.

You get a clear invoice.

The number matches the quote you signed at the start. Tax-ready, useful for insurance claims and your own records, no surprise additions.

Your 12-month guarantee kicks in.

Workmanship covered for 12 months, parts and labour both. If something we installed fails inside that window, we come back and fix it. No excess, no fine print. Manufacturer warranties on units pass through to you.

We check in the day after.

Quick text or call to make sure everything's still doing what it's meant to. If something's off, we're back. The job isn't really done until you're not thinking about it anymore.

How quickly can a plumber actually get to my place?
Phone is fastest during standard hours (7am to 4pm weekdays). Tell us the suburb and the job and we'll book you in on the call with a clear arrival window. If we're going to be late, we ring you with a new time. We don't ask you to chase us.
If you don't upsell, how do I know you're not just doing the cheap fix?
Fair question. Where there's a real choice between repair and replace, we lay out both with prices, expected lifespan, and our honest recommendation. The point isn't always-cheap; the point is no-pressure. If your hot water unit is on its last legs, we'll tell you. If your tap just needs a cartridge, we'll tell you that too.
What's the difference between your quote and what other plumbers do?
Our quote is the total for the scope as we understand it. Parts, labour, disposal, GST, the lot. If we hit something unforeseen mid-job, we stop, explain what we found, and re-quote. You only continue if you agree to the new number. The quote never goes up without your sign-off.
Do you charge a callout fee?
During standard hours (7am to 4pm weekdays) our callout is factored into the first hour's charge, so you don't see a separate line item. After 4pm and weekends run at an uplifted rate, disclosed before you book in. Phone quotes for straightforward jobs are free, and we don't run a meter on questions.
Are you actually licensed and insured?
Yes. NSW plumbing and gas licences both current; full public liability cover. We can email certificates of currency before we arrive on site for any commercial or industrial job, just ask. Specific licence numbers and insurer details on the Contact page.
What if your work fails after the job?
12-month workmanship guarantee on every job, parts and labour both covered. If something we did fails inside that window, we come back and fix it. No conditions, no excess. Manufacturer warranties on units pass through to you separately and we'll handle the claim if the unit fails.
Do you do commercial and industrial work?
Yes, industrial manufacturing is the core of what we do. Cafés, pubs, clubs, salons, retail, industrial, warehouse fit-offs and site maintenance. Account terms available, SWMS on request, out-of-hours installs to keep your trading day intact. We'll provide a capability statement on request.
